Pattern Shop
Ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and long pattern life.
Our dedicated pattern shop maintains both ASC-owned and customer-owned patterns. With inspection and maintenance after each use, pattern life can exceed 20 years, supporting consistent molding and more predictable results over time.
Molding & Assembly
Every job starts with a complete review of pattern condition and molding requirements.
We execute molding, mold coating, and assembly operations with an emphasis on repeatability and schedule control, especially for large castings where setup is a major driver of success.

Heat sizes and chemistry control built for demanding specs.
Our melt equipment includes a 50-ton Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and two 9-ton induction furnaces. Melt and pouring schedules are optimized for heat size and customer demand, with chemistry control confirmed through preliminary and final ladle testing using optical emission spectrometers and gas analyzers.

Pouring & Shakeout
Tapping and pouring are completed under foundry supervision with temperature measurement and controlled pouring rates matched to the product. Shakeout timing is scheduled based on solidification models and casting temperature to support quality and safety.

Heat Treatment

Testing on every order using certified systems and documented results.
Quality control testing is completed on all orders and specified in each foundry job order. Final QA inspection is completed prior to shipment. Our quality system is ISO 9001 certified.
- NDT Capabilities: UT, MT, PT, RT available per specification and documentation needs.
- Dimensional Inspection: Inspection approach selected based on geometry, tolerance, and customer requirements—documented for your records.
