Slag pots are the primary product line of American Steel Castings. We supply melt shops across North America and support export markets upon request. Our team will match your current pot requirements—or review larger-than-standard sizes and weights to confirm feasibility. Continuous product development and metallurgical refinement help improve service life cycle after cycle.

ASC slag pots collect and transport slag under extreme thermal and mechanical loads. Built for repeated heat cycling and heavy handling, our slag pots are domestically poured, heat treated and inspected for dependable delivery.
We’ll review your current design and operating conditions to confirm fit and performance. Mechanical design review and solidification modeling are used when helpful to validate castability and optimize service life.
ASC Slag Pots are cast and heat treated using a micro alloy steel grade that exhibits exceptional high temperature tensile strength and fracture toughness to resist impact damage and distortion/deformation. The micro alloy chemistry is proprietary to ASC. Ongoing product development and R & D is employed to ensure continuous improvement. This advanced metallurgy has kept us the world leader in slag pot performance since the early 1980's.
Heat treatment is matched to your performance requirements and documented for traceability.
Dimensional checks and certified NDT can be provided per your specification.
We can match existing footprints and lifting/handling features, or help you refine them for safer handling and longer service. Share drawings/specs and we’ll confirm feasibility quickly.
A predictable process that keeps slag-pot projects on schedule.
ASC’s Sales and Technical Service is available for melt site visits to review and optimize slag pot performance. Also, to review and recommend any further modifications to the slag pot to address application-specific needs.
